Veterinary Technician
Location: Washington County Veterinary Hospital, Wakefield, Rhode Island
We are growing and adding a new doctor and extending our hours.
Washington County Veterinary Hospital is a modern facility surrounded by inlets to the ocean, providing clients and patients with exceptional veterinary care. We are looking to add a full‑time experienced veterinary technician to join our team.
Responsibilities- Properly handling and restraining animals
- Rooming patients
- Assisting in surgery and surgical recovery
- Placing IV catheters
- Drawing blood and running bloodwork
- Using x‑ray equipment and proper positioning
- Operating laboratory equipment
- Supporting the team as a positive and collaborative member
- 2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Knowledge of animal behavior and healthcare
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Understanding the importance of client education
- Team player willing to continue learning
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Salary: Up to $30.00 hourly based upon experience
Sign‑on Bonus: Eligibility up to $2,000.00 based on experience and surgical/anesthesia experience
Work‑Life Balance: Flexible schedule
