Role OverviewManufacturing Engineer III – apply intensive and diversified engineering knowledge to ensure quality and customer success across multiple technology areas and projects.
Responsibilities- Apply engineering principles across broad assignments; ensure internal and external customer expectations are met or exceeded.
- Adhere to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, FDA regulations and company policies.
- Develop new and unique approaches to challenging problems, investigate technology trends, and recommend best practices.
- Evaluate, develop, and implement moderate‑scope new technologies; identify and procure equipment as needed.
- Write new documents (protocols, reports, specifications, work‑instructions) and review peer documentation.
- Plan and lead engineering projects of moderate to large scale; influence cross‑functional teams with minimal resources.
- Initiate and maintain relationships with individuals and business units across sites.
- Embed quality into the engineering discipline – own quality, ensure adherence to QMS, facilitate corrective and preventive actions, support quality KPIs and 5‑Sigma journey.
- Support Integer’s Manufacturing Excellence and Market‑Focused Innovation Strategies, including the Integer Production System, Hoshin plans, SiOP meetings, Leader Standard Work, and 5S.
- Contribute to safety, environmental health & safety programs; provide active support for all safety initiatives.
- Generate continuous improvement suggestions and support their implementation; shorten project durations and recommend systemic changes.
- Perform additional duties as directed by line supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (Master’s preferred). Minimum 5+ years of progressive engineering experience.
- 10+ years of relevant experience may qualify applicants without the degree.
- Strong technical and problem‑solving foundation, with training/certifications in problem‑solving and project‑management methodologies such as Six‑Sigma (green belt minimum, black belt preferred), 8D, RCA, 5‑Why, Ishikawa, Kepner‑Tregoe, PMP.
- Ability to observe, analyze, and develop solutions to complex technical issues; deliver measurable results (productivity, capacity, competitive differentiation).
- Independent and collaborative work style; ability to lead team activities and coach less experienced associates.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Calm demeanor in a high‑energy, rapidly changing production environment; positive, can‑do attitude.
- Knowledge of U.S. food and drug regulations, QMS, and manufacturing excellence practices is highly desirable.
Salary range: $93,225 – $136,730. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, adoption benefits, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off. Optional employee‑paid programs include supplemental life, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and accident insurance. Parental leave available after one year.
