Join our team at Advinia Care Oakland Grove as a Cook, providing quality food service to our residents. As a key member of our dining services team, you will prepare and serve delicious meals in a warm and comfortable environment. • Follow therapeutic diets ordered by physicians to ensure the health and well-being of our residents
• Prepare and serve food to maintain the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste
• Monitor daily nourishments, follow standardized recipes, and ensure proper portion control
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to sanitation and storage policies and procedures
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director of Dining Services

• One year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or related medical facility (training provided for the right candidate)
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with residents, family members, and staff
• Knowledge of dining service procedures and related laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel
• Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and the appearance of work areas
• Patient, tactful, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning

Part-time, 24 hours per week, weekdays, and every other weekend.
