HVAC Sr Field Service Technician
As an HVAC Sr Field Service Technician at Honeywell, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and service for HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment in various settings and report directly to our Field Service Manager, working out of our Acton, MA location. This role impacts the efficiency and reliability of HVAC systems, contributing to client satisfaction and service operation success.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain Building Automation systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure system reliability.
- Participate in on‑site walk‑throughs, formal commissioning, and customer demonstration/training on projects.
- Provide on‑site and off‑site technical support during installation, start‑up, commissioning, and turnover processes.
- Oversee and assist with installation of control systems for boilers, chillers, process water systems, RTUs, air handlers, etc.
- Run one‑off problem scenarios and integrations based on customer needs.
- Develop and program graphical displays to monitor and adjust mechanical system operations (EBI Front End Command Control Interface).
- Perform system backups and install appropriate updates and patches.
- Apply knowledge of virtual machines, system imaging, and networking to serve customer needs.
- Complete required documentation for work performed and other contractual obligations.
- Use safety personal protection equipment properly.
- Maintain required security and other clearances as required by customer.
- Assist with design, estimating, and installation of various building automation systems.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior technicians.
Travel may be up to 100%.
Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC service and repair.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and components.
- Proficiency in using HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Experience with commercial and industrial HVAC units.
- Experience working with Windows operating systems.
- Hands‑on experience with customer IT teams and networking infrastructure, including IP addressing and subnet configuration.
- Technical training and building automation control experience.
- Programming experience with multiple system platforms (Tridium, Niagara N4, etc.) and integration of third‑party systems via BACnet, LON, Modbus on chillers, boilers, VFDs, generators, rooftop units, VRF, FAS, etc.
- Strong customer‑facing communication and presentation skills.

Hourly salary range: $33.00 - $42.00 per hour.
