HVAC Sr Field Service Technician

As an HVAC Sr Field Service Technician at Honeywell, you will provide advanced technical support and service for HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment in various settings. You will report directly to the Field Service Manager and work out of the Acton, MA location.

• Install, configure, and maintain Building Automation systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure system reliability.
• Participate in on‑site walk‑throughs, formal commissioning, and customer demonstration/training on projects.
• Provide onsite and off‑site technical support during installation, start‑up, commissioning, and turnover processes; complete programming and commissioning.
• Oversee or assist with installation of control systems for Boilers, Chillers, Process Water Systems, RTUs, Air Handlers, etc.
• Run one‑off problems, scenarios, and integrations based on customer needs.
• Develop and program graphical displays to monitor and adjust mechanical system operations (EBI Front End Command Control Interface).
• Perform system backups and install appropriate updates and patches.
• Apply knowledge of virtual machines, system imaging, and networking to serve customer needs (certifications may be required).
• Complete required documentation for work performed or other contractual obligations.
• Properly use safety personal protection equipment.
• Meet security and other clearances as required by customer.
• Assist with design, estimating, and installation of various building automation systems.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to junior technicians.

Travel up to 100% as required.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC service and repair.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and components.
• Proficiency in using HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Experience with various HVAC systems including commercial and industrial units.

• Technical training and building automation controls experience.
• Capacity to program multiple systems (Tridium, Niagara N4) and integrate third‑party systems such as BACnet, LON, and Modbus on chillers, boilers, VFDs, generators, rooftop units (RTU), VRF, FAS, etc.
• Strong customer‑facing communication and presentation skills.
