Transportation Specialist - Supervised Visitation and Support Center (Full Time)
The Northern Rhode Island Visitation Center (NRIVC) serves families whose children are to have supervised visits in a home‑like setting while receiving support in their recovery. The Transportation Specialist provides transportation to and from supervised visits with biological families for children in out‑of‑home placements. The role involves communicating with foster parents, coordinating scheduling of visits with all parties involved, ensuring the safety of passengers at all times, maintaining documentation for state, program, and agency standards, and implementing individualized transportation plans.
Excellent personal, organizational, and communication skills are required. The position is a team‑based role that helps make a huge difference in families’ lives.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED and experience with children/youth or a social service setting.
- Bi‑lingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current vehicle insurance.
- Excellent driving record required; able to pass a driver’s license verification for agency vehicles.
- Must also pass a DCYF clearance.
