Position: NRIVC Transportation Specialist (Full Time)

Transportation Specialist - Supervised Visitation and Support Center (Full Time)

The Northern Rhode Island Visitation Center (NRIVC) serves families whose children have staged, supervised visits in a home‑like setting while receiving support in their recovery. The Transportation Specialist provides transportation to and from these supervised visits with biological families for children in out‑of‑home placements. The specialist communicates with foster parents to facilitate scheduling of visits with all parties involved, ensures the safety of passengers at all times, and maintains documentation for state, program, and agency standards, including the implementation of individualized transportation plans.

Excellent personal, organizational, and communication skills are essential, as is a willingness to work with a dynamic, fun team while making a significant difference in families’ lives.

Education Requirements/Qualifications
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED and experience with children/youth or a social service setting.
  • Bi‑lingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current vehicle insurance.
  • Excellent driving record required and ability to pass a driver’s license verification for agency vehicles.
  • Required to pass a DCYF clearance.
