Overview
The primary function of this position includes but is not limited to assist with the receiving of inbound orders. This is a warehouse position responsible for unloading inbound shipments, conveying products to the receiving staging area, and breaking down product and separating product by specific item numbers.
Essential Duties- Operates an electric pallet jack (or other powered industrial equipment) to unload inbound shipments from trailers and convey product to the receiving area and warehouse aisles
- Breaks down and restacks product from pallets
- Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment including, but not limited to powered industrial equipment, voice headsets, and personal protective equipment
- Perform pre-trip inspections, and safely operate all powered industrial equipment
- Shrink-wrap product on the loading dock
- Adhere to all safety practices and company policies and food safety principles. Immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions
- Maintains and clean and safe work environment
- Organizes warehouse slots to prepare for selection by rotating pallets and fronting shelves
- Attends all required company meetings
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety requirements
- Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Experience operating electric pallet jack or forklift preferred

- Must be able to use, or learn to use, all equipment and tools used to perform the job
- Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must successfully pass a controlled substance screening test
- Must adhere to all safety practices and company policies
- Meet or exceed established cases per error goals
- Able to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast-paced environment
- Develop a working knowledge of the product
While performing the duties of this job, a Warehouse Associate will constantly work near powered industrial equipment and experience exposure to vibration and moderate to high noise levels. The work environment includes congested and high traffic areas, slippery floors, working alongside forklifts, single pallet jacks, electric walk behind jacks and hand carts. Walking and working on concrete flooring. Duties will require working in varying climates.
Temperatures range from below zero in the freezer to 95°F or above outdoors.
- Frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs up to 75 pounds unassisted. When lifting more that 75 pounds, a lifting device should be used, or two or more people may assist
- Frequently reach up to 72 inches to stack and unstack pallets
- Constantly bend and twist while operating a pallet jack or other powered industrial equipment, retrieving items from lower shelf areas

Hourly Rate: $18.00
