Metals USA is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk for our Wooster, OH location. - Reviews and research invoice statements for accuracy. Receives the physical inventory.
- Reviews purchase orders, invoices and other financial statements.
- Processes purchase order receipt documentation for accuracy and enter into the system.
- Investigates and resolves billing inquiries and issues, and ensures the inventory matches shipping documents for accuracy.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing customer needs.
- Retrieves shipping labels from supplier sites as required.
- Assists verification process and facilitates payment.
- Participates in physical inventory counts; generates test reports and handles credits as needed.
- Assists the Accounting Department with all aspects of the accounts payable function; serves as the primary back-up to the accounts payable clerk.
- Serves as the primary office receptionist or a back-up receptionist depending upon the location and its volume of business.
- Provides the Office Manager and/or Accounting Manager with accurate financial data to ensure timely reporting.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of an inventory control clerk.
- Adheres to Reliance Steel and Aluminum's Code of Conduct as well as customer confidentiality requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

QualificationsRequirements:
- High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- Must have strong analytical skills with some accounting experience.
- Must have strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interface effectively with all departments to foster a success-oriented, deadline driven organization.
- Ability to work in a high volume, transaction driven environment.
- Good analytical & organizational skills, able to make sound decisions utilizing the data at hand.
- Ability to communicate both oral and written effectively with both internal & external customers.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism & diplomacy to include telephone etiquette.
- Must have knowledge of office practices and procedures.
- Computer Literacy to include Microsoft Office Products:
Excel and ERP.
Physical Demands:
- Occupation requires being sedentary less than or equal to 75% of the time ( < to 6 hours per day).
- Stand, walk, sit, hear, talk, use of hands and fingers, hand-eye coordination, reach outward, reach above shoulder, climb, squat or kneel or bend
- Regularly required to work on multiple concurrent tasks with constant interruptions
- Lift, carry, push and/or pull up to a maximum of 25 lbs. without assistance
