Design And Construction Specialist

Seaman Corporation is seeking a Design and Construction Specialist to join our Technology team! This position will report to the Design and Construction Manager in Wooster, OH.

Position Summary:

The Design and Construction Specialist supports the planning and execution of curtain system projects by assisting with design development, drawing reviews, project documentation, and installation coordination. This role works closely with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met, documentation is maintained, and projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with customer, Curtain Standards, and Seaman requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Conduct design audits at customer facilities and operate scanning equipment to support project design.
  • Assist with project design development, stakeholder reviews, and validation of customer and subcontractor drawings for accuracy and alignment.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with customers, subcontractors, architects, general contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project documentation by organizing, maintaining, and uploading drawings and related information in Procore and customer-specific platforms, ensuring proper file management and notifications.
  • Support adherence to customer and internal Curtain Standards and ensure compliance with Seaman requirements.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, installation coordination, and on-site project oversight as needed.
  • Coordinate project submittals, manifests, change orders, billings, and subcontractor payments.
  • Monitor and review project metrics, installation schedules, scorecards, panel tracking reports, and performance data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate lessons-learned reviews with internal teams and subcontractors at project completion.
  • Support internal teams with project-related activities and administrative requirements.
  • Design and print curtain labels and other project-specific production documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum associate's degree or technical training in Construction, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Experience with field measurements, site assessments, or acoustic / noise control work.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with technical documentation or product guides.
