This is an on-site, contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, serving the healthcare needs ofour community.
As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will provide high-quality care to patients, diagnosing and treating conditions related to the digestive system. You will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of clinical responsibilities and collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities- Conduct patient consultations and evaluations
- Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders
- Perform endoscopic procedures and biopsies
- Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Stay updated on advancements in gastroenterology
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice
- Board certification in Gastroenterology preferred
- Experience in a clinical setting, with expertise in gastroenterology
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care.
- Must be board‑certified
Schedule:
Monday-Friday (8a-5p), 2 weeks per month
Call Requirement:
Nights and 24‑hour weekends
Setting:
Clinic and inpatient
Patient Volume: 0-8 inpatients, up to 20 outpatients per day
General GI procedures required
EMR:
Meditech
