• Ohio Licensure Middle Childhood (4-9), Elementary (1-8 or Pk-5) or PreK-3 with 4-5 Generalist Endorsement
• Master's Degree in content area or education preferred
• Candidate must be a highly qualified teacher
• Training and experience in hands-on methods
• Can articulate and demonstrate understanding and implementation of Ohio's New Learning Standards
• Documented and proven ability to teach in a blended or flipped learning environment
• Previous experience/training with a learning management system (LMS)
• Shows evidence of frequent progress monitoring with proficiency in analyzing data to drive individualized, differentiated instruction
• Training and experience in using cooperative learning, problem-based learning, thematic instruction, integrated planning, simulations and other models of teaching that promote students' engagement in their learning
• Proven ability to design and deliver instruction for ALL learners, especially students with exceptionalities
• Strong background in positive behavior management and ability to relate to at-risk students with families, courts and social agencies that provide services
• Experience with inclusion settings; co-teaching, team teaching, cross-curricular teaching, and RTI (Response to Intervention)
• Excellent evaluations and/or recommendations; strong interpersonal communication skills
• Training and experience in goal setting
• Ability and willingness to engage in ongoing curriculum development
• Familiarity with learning styles and multiple intelligences
• Willingness to work as a member of a team-oriented faculty
• Commitment to improving student performance as measured by AIR Assessments, ACT, SAT, etc.
