• Ability to teach Science and Social Studies. Ohio licensure (4‑9), (1‑8) or (K‑5)
• Master's Degree in Science/Social Studies (preferred)
• Training and experience in hands‑on methods
• Proven ability to teach in a blended or flipped environment
• Can articulate and demonstrate understanding and implementation of the Common Core State Standard (CCSS) and/or Ohio's New Learning Standards
• Documented and proven ability to teach in a blended or flipped learning environment
• Previous experience/Training with a learning management system (LMS)
• Knowledge of the Project Lead the Way Program and certification (preferred)
• Shows evidence of frequent progress monitoring with proficiency in analyzing data to drive individualized, differentiated instruction
• Training and experience in using cooperative learning, problem‑based learning, thematic instruction, integrated planning, simulations and other models of teaching that promote students' engagement in their learning
• Proven ability to design and deliver instruction for ALL learners, especially students with exceptionalities
• Has strong background in positive behavior management and can relate to the at‑risk with families, parents, courts and social agencies that provide services to students
• Experience with inclusion settings; co‑teaching, team teaching, cross‑curricular teaching, and Response to Intervention (RTI)
• Excellent evaluations and/or recommendations; strong interpersonal communication skills
• Training and experience in goal setting
• Ability and willingness to engage in ongoing curriculum development
• Candidate must be a highly qualified teacher
• Familiarity with learning styles and multiple intelligences
• Willingness to work as a member of a team‑oriented faculty and engage in ongoing curriculum development
• Commitment to improving student performance as measured by the AIR Assessments, ACT, SAT, etc.

Candidate must pass a criminal background investigation prior to employment.
