Part-time position for a flute instructor beginning August, 2026. Primary duties include teaching weekly flute lessons to both majors and non-majors, as well as coaching ensemble(s) as needed. There are opportunities on campus for recitals and other public performances. Every other Fall semester (the next being Fall 2027), there is also the possibility of teaching the Flute portion of our Woodwind Methods sequence for Music Education majors.
QualificationsQualifications: Master’s degree or equivalent professional teaching experience strongly preferred. Candidate must demonstrate evidence of successful teaching and the ability to engage students at various levels of experience and skill.
Preferred qualifications: Demonstrated success in recruiting and retaining students is highly desired.
Start Date: August 19, 2026
