We are seeking a skilled and detail-orientedSite Development Civil Engineerto join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing civil engineering projects focused on land and site development. This includes preparing site layout plans, grading, stormwater management, utility design, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare engineering design plans for site development projects including commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.
- Develop grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility plans.
- Conduct site feasibility assessments and due diligence reviews.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and stormwater modeling.
- Prepare permit applications and coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies for approvals.
- Collaborate with clients, architects and surveyors to ensure design objectives and schedule are met.
- Perform construction oversight and site inspections as needed.
- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation.
- Use engineering software such as AutoCAD w/ Carlson Civil, Hydro
CAD and standard office software. - Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal regulations related to site development and environmental compliance.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 0–7 years of experience in site/civil design and land development.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of civil site design principles, stormwater management, and utility planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification with intent to pursue PE.
- Experience with permitting processes in Ohio
- Familiarity with local zoning, subdivision, and land use ordinances.
