Shift: Shift 2 Wooster
Role Type: 100% Onsite
Role ObjectivePerforms quality inspections of components, per quality standards. Communicates quality issues to quality team, Process Technicians and others. Quarantines questionable parts. Operates measurement equipment “CMM/VMM”, understands and communicates measurement results.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPrimary
- Collects all components from molding machines as required, measures, assesses, and analyzes components for conformance.
- Follows first off and last off process, fills out required tags and save samples.
- Saves samples of non-conforming components for analyses and possible tool repair in mold room.
- Complies with all quality procedures and inspection processes, logs all required information, relays information to quality team members on other shifts.
- Operates all required equipment (e.g. CMM, VMM, caliper, GO/NOGO gauges, Magna-Mike) and analyzes measurement data.
- Follows hold tag process when any components and/or completed pumps are non-conforming and/or in question.
- Communicates with Production and Process Technicians if non-conforming components are identified.
- Performs trouble shooting as required to solve automation issues on off-shifts.
- Performs measurements on ETR components, logs and communicates issues identified.
- Interacts with production team, guides material handlers in containing non-conforming components.
- Interacts with Process Technicians, communicates non-conforming issues identified.
- Process Technician
- Production teams, including Automation Technicians and Automation Operators
- High School graduate or equivalent (GED) required
- Operation of measuring equipment
- Inspection experience
- Exposure to ISO 9000 or other quality system
- Experience with plastic injection molding
Direct Manufacturing/Distribution - 100% On-Site
Travel RequirementsTravel between campus locations in Northeast Ohio as needed.
FLSA StatusNon-Exempt
The starting pay rate for this role is $21.02 per hour. In addition to base pay, all GOJO team members are bonus eligible.
