Overview
Quality Inspector I - 2nd Shift. Role objective:
Performs quality inspections of components per quality standards. Communicates quality issues to the quality team and Process Technicians. Quarantines questionable parts. Operates measurement equipment (CMM/VMM) and communicates measurement results.
- Collects components from molding machines, measures, assesses, and analyzes components for conformance.
- Follows first-off and last-off processes, fills out required tags, and saves samples.
- Saves samples of non-conforming components for analyses and possible tool repair in the mold room.
- Complies with quality procedures and inspection processes; logs required information and relays information to quality team members on other shifts.
- Operates required equipment (e.g., CMM, VMM, caliper, GO/NOGO gauges, Magna-Mike) and analyzes measurement data.
- Follows hold-tag process when components and/or completed pumps are non-conforming or in question.
- Communicates with Production and Process Technicians if non-conforming components are identified.
- Performs troubleshooting as required to solve automation issues on off-shifts.
- Performs measurements on ETR components and logs and communicates issues identified.
- Interacts with production team and guides material handlers in containing non-conforming components.
- Interacts with Process Technicians and communicates non-conforming issues identified.
- High School graduate or equivalent (GED) required.
- Experience with operation of measuring equipment.
- Inspection experience.
- Exposure to ISO 9000 or other quality system.
- Experience with plastic injection molding.
Direct Manufacturing/Distribution – 100% On-Site
Location, Schedule & TravelWork Location:
USA Wooster Campus – GPM. Shift: Shift 2 Wooster. Role Type: 100% Onsite. Travel between campus locations in Northeast Ohio as needed.
The starting pay rate for this role is $21.02 per hour. In addition to base pay, all GOJO team members are bonus eligible. Benefits include 401(k) match, parental leave, and onsite well-being care.
