Job Overview
Maintenance Technician – Garland, TX (2nd and 3rd Shifts). The role involves troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment, supporting automated systems, and ensuring compliance with GMP and food safety standards.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment across processing, packaging, warehouse systems, and plant utilities.
- Support highly automated equipment including fillers, case packers, palletizers, and conveyors.
- Maintain utility systems such as boilers, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration, and wastewater systems.
- Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs.
- Follow GMP, food safety, and housekeeping standards.
- Support building maintenance as needed.
- Electrical: Ability to read electrical schematics; 480 V 3‑phase troubleshooting and wiring; low‑voltage controls; VFDs and servo systems.
- Mechanical: Welding (MIG, TIG, Arc); pumps, valves, gearboxes; pneumatic and hydraulic systems; mill and lathe experience preferred.
- Controls: Allen Bradley PLC experience—SLC 500, PLC 5, Logix 5000.
- CMMS experience preferred.
- Food or dairy manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work active shifts.

Garland, TX - Shifts Available: 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift
- Starting Pay: $35+/hr plus shift premiums (10% for off‑hours, 15% for weekend work)
