CNC Operator Job Summary

As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating machines according to specifications. This hands‑on role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with various materials in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

CNC Machine Operation:

• Set up and operate CNC machinery based on work instructions and engineering specifications.
• Perform tool changes, fixture installation, and alignment to ensure proper setup.

Quality Control:

• Inspect first‑run parts and conduct in‑process quality checks using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Make adjustments to maintain specifications and resolve any deviations.

Program Adjustments:

• Load and modify CNC programs as necessary to optimize machining operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine errors or malfunctions.

Maintenance:

• Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacing worn tools.
• Notify maintenance personnel of any mechanical issues requiring advanced repairs.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Complete production logs, inspection records, and other necessary documentation accurately.
• Report production issues or quality concerns to supervisors.
