Responsibilities
- Prioritizing, scheduling and reporting of system maintenance activities to achieve system goals
- Work in a team environment with installation, construction and inventory leads to complete critical projects on time
- Perform proof of performance scheduling, testing, reporting, and documentation
- Work directly with corporate engineering to prioritize, plan and deploy system augments
- Monitor all NOC reports, service call sheets and system problem reports, responding as required to maintain network integrity
- Participate in and execute required and random weekly/monthly EAS testing and statewide reporting
- Schedule, provide and recommend technical training for technicians
- Support technicians after-hours
- Participate in on-call rotation
- 3+ years system maintenance experience preferred
- Strong knowledge and experience working with fiber; splicing and troubleshooting
- Detailed knowledge of signal level meters
- Ability to work as team leader or independently as required by current priorities
- General PC knowledge; MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint preferred
- Detail oriented:
Exceptional organization and record keeping skills - Must be self- motivated, have a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn new technologies and equipment
- Excellent customer interaction skills
- SCTE and NCTI completions preferred
