We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician for our 2nd shift (3:30pm-1:00am) or 3rd shift (Journeyman tech) in Wooster, OH. The role involves performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of production machines.
Responsibilities
- Perform highly mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair to install and maintain production machines.
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment and perform scheduled maintenance.
- Conduct electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Execute simple machinist or fabricator duties and responsibilities.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Essential Skills
- 4+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for PLCs and automation systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with motors, motor controls, sensors, switches, photo eyes, VFD's, and automated systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with servo systems, machine vision, and robotics is a plus.

Work Environment
Expect to work 40-55 hours per week, with potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Appropriate personal protection equipment is required. Tasks may require hearing protection, and demands include the ability to lift 30-50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks. The role requires manual dexterity and various vision abilities, with physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wooster, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $56000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
