Accounts Payable Specialist
Location:
Greater Worcester, MA Area (Onsite)
Compensation: $25–$28/hour + Benefits
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, Full-Time Onsite
A growing and stable organization is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys handling high-volume invoice processing with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Process and code a high volume of vendor invoices
- Perform matching and resolve discrepancies as needed
- Prepare weekly payment runs, including checks and electronic payments
- Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
- Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close activities
- Ensure accuracy, organization, and compliance with internal processes
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Strong understanding of AP workflows and basic accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software (Quick Books or similar systems preferred)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
