Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a well‑established independent accountancy practice in Worcestershire who are looking to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior to join their Business Services team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced all‑round practice professional who enjoys working across both accounts and tax in a broad, hands‑on role. The firm is looking for someone practical and commercially minded rather than career‑study focused, making this an ideal opportunity for a qualified by experience (QBE) candidate or someone who has previously studied AAT, ACCA or ACA but chosen not to continue exams.

The successful candidate will work with a varied portfolio of owner‑managed businesses and individual clients, providing a mixture of accounting and taxation services.

• Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
• VAT returns and bookkeeping duties
• Assisting with management accounts where required
• Liaising directly with clients and responding to day‑to‑day queries
• Supporting senior staff with client portfolio management
• Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and to deadline

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• Experience preparing accounts and undertaking tax work
• AAT qualified, part‑qualified ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience (QBE)
• Experience with cloud‑based accounting software such as Xero or Quick Books
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A proactive and team‑oriented approach

• Salary of £27,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
• Office base in either Droitwich or Worcester
