Position Summary
The Marketing and Events Assistant provides essential administrative and logistical support to Family Health Center of Worcester’s marketing, communications, and fundraising activities. This role focuses on assisting with day-to-day tasks that help ensure smooth execution of marketing strategies, event coordination, and donor engagement efforts. Responsibilities include scheduling, data entry, maintaining records, preparing materials, and supporting general office operations related to marketing and events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of social media platforms.
- Comfort with learning new software (e.g., donor databases, project management software, email marketing tools, website platforms).
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist with a variety of tasks.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Exercise discretion and confidentiality, including HIPAA compliance.
- Commitment to the mission of Family Health Center of Worcester.
Education:
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, business, or related field.
- Required:
1–2 years of administrative experience or office support. Familiarity with basic marketing tasks (social media posting, simple design tools, email platforms). - Preferred:
Experience supporting events or fundraising activities. - Exposure to marketing or development in a nonprofit or healthcare setting.
Director of Marketing and Communications and receives additional guidance from the Director of Annual Giving & Events.
