Inside Sales Representative

Job Type: Direct hire, full time.
Must be a US Citizen

Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative provides management and oversight of customer projects from the request for quotation (RFQ) stage through product delivery and post-installation support. Serves as a single point of contact for customer purchasing, engineering, operations, and quality teams. Responsible for managing and delivering customer service and inside sales support while providing technical assistance and product recommendations based on application requirements, pricing, and availability.

Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop customer-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review customer requests for quotations and coordinate with engineering, planning, purchasing, operations, quality, and other functional teams to develop accurate and competitive proposals.
  • Evaluate manufacturing capabilities, capacity, delivery requirements, and business objectives when preparing quotations.
  • Prepare and submit written quotations and related documentation in accordance with organizational and customer requirements.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers throughout the quotation, order review, and order acceptance process.
  • Coordinate responses to customer inquiries and support issue resolution.
  • Recommend product or service enhancements, based on technical input and customer requirements, to improve customer satisfaction and support sales growth.
  • Document sales, customer interactions, and business development activities.
  • Track opportunities and maintain accurate records within company systems.
  • Provide general inside sales and customer support activities as required.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of contract terms and conditions, regulatory requirements, and commercial agreements.
  • Strong commitment to process compliance, documentation accuracy, and quality standards.
  • Solid understanding of customer service principles and sales support practices.
  • Ability to solve routine and moderately complex problems through analysis, collaboration, and independent decision-making.
  • Self‑motivated, highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills with the ability to meet customer and internal deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and quality while working in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) or business systems is preferred.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Technical Studies, or a related field preferred. Relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Two to four years of experience in technical customer service, inside sales, customer support, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a technical, industrial, engineering, or manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with manufactured products, engineered equipment, fluid systems, control systems, or related industrial technologies is a plus.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, production environments, and standard industry practices preferred.
