About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Planner to provide planning management and support for both pre‑contract (tender) and contract operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate bid and construction teams to manage planning and programme aspects of bid proposals and multiple projects.
- Work as part of an integrated team on tenders and live projects, offering upfront client advice.
- Plan construction works from first principles.
- Develop fully logic‑linked tender programmes covering design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and soft‑landing elements that comply with tender success criteria.
- Engage with supply chain and team to achieve optimum programme solutions.
- Produce method statements, quality answers and ensure tender programmes align with pricing methods.
- Lead or produce logistic, phasing, 4D, and CGI plans.
- Produce tender deliverables as required at kick‑off meetings.
- Ensure deliverables meet agreed Tender Activity Programme (TAP) timescales.
- Contribute to the Pre‑Construction Book, preparing schedules and obtaining prices for scaffolding, temporary works, craneage, cabins, hoarding, and site staff requirements.
- Manage, update and communicate the construction programme to internal and external stakeholders.
- Apply Planning Management on JCT and NEC contracts.
- Incorporate change events into design, procurement and construction programmes, and secure entitlement under contract.
- Support project managers and site teams with onsite planning and reporting.
- Chair and lead collaborative planning sessions.
- Degree, HNC or equivalent in Building Studies or a related subject.
- Significant experience in the main contracting market, having worked on multiple projects between £10 m and £80 m.
- Experience of working on JCT and NEC contract forms.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
