Position: Project Manager (Commercial Roofing)

Greenwood is currently hiring an experienced Project Manager based out of our Worcester, MA office.

Responsibilities

The Project Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Understand all phases of the building envelope construction.
  • Understand commercial roof system designs to include: TPO, PVC and EPDM.
  • Read plans and specifications in both hard copy and digital formats.
  • Work with Operations to determine materials and manpower required for each project.
  • Estimate time to completion for each project and coordinate with teams from varying trades as appropriate.
  • Determine materials required for each project and devise delivery schedules to ensure materials are available when required (timber, shingles, insulation, guttering, fascia, etc.).
  • Review architect’s roofing design to plan the sequence of work and identify any practical problems in achieving the planned results.
  • Ensure all work is conducted safely, with quality, and to meet production goals.
  • Create Schedules of Work and Schedules of Value; track project performance and initiate recovery efforts when delays or change orders occur.
  • Regularly communicate with management regarding all assigned projects.
  • Effectively schedule and dispatch field personnel.
  • Network with associations and organizations beneficial to the company’s interests.
  • Maintain effective communication with GCs, PMs, and Corporate.
  • Additional responsibilities assigned at manager discretion.
Qualifications
  • Understand all phases of the building envelope construction; commercial roofing experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience in Project Management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
