Solar Director Of Operations

Helios Energy is seeking an experienced Solar Director of Operations to lead and oversee our commercial

solar construction operations. This senior leadership position will be responsible for both internal and

external construction operations, with the Project Management team reporting directly to this role. The ideal candidate will bring extensive commercial solar experience, strong operational leadership, and a proven ability to manage teams and multiple projects while supporting continued company growth.

• Lead and oversee day-to-day construction operations across commercial solar projects.
• Provide leadership, direction, and accountability to the Project Management team.
• Oversee internal field operations as well as external subcontractor and vendor performance.
• Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company standards.
• Partner with senior leadership to establish operational priorities and support company growth.
• Monitor project performance, identify operational challenges, and implement effective solutions.
• Improve processes, workflows, communication, and accountability across construction operations.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, field leadership, pre-construction, procurement, and other internal departments.
• Maintain visibility into project schedules, staffing needs, budgets, and overall project performance.
• Support the development and implementation of operational procedures and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop project management and operations personnel.

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience.
• Commercial solar experience is required.
• Proven senior management or operations leadership experience within construction, renewable energy,or commercial solar.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple construction projects and leading Project Manager sand/or construction operations teams
• Strong understanding of commercial construction operations, scheduling, budgeting, and project execution.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong business judgment and ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership.
• Ability to work on-site in Bellingham, MA on a regular basis and occasionally visit project sites as business needs require.
• Salary: $180,000 - $240,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

This is primarily an on-site leadership position based at the Helios Energy office/shop in Bellingham,

Massachusetts. Regular travel is not expected. The Director may occasionally visit active project sites for

significant project needs, site observations, or other operational requirements
