About the Role
We're looking for a driven, adaptable Construction Project Coordinator to join our team on a major power project in Massachusetts. This is a high-visibility role working shoulder-to-shoulder with the Project Director and key leadership staff, helping keep a complex, fast-moving job site organized, on schedule, and communicating well across all levels of the project.
This role is best suited for someone with a go-getter mentality who thrives in a dynamic environment, isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves, and genuinely enjoys working with people — from field crews to executives.
What You’ll Do- Work directly with the Project Director and key staff to support day-to-day coordination of a large-scale power construction project
- Track project schedules, deliverables, and action items, flagging risks before they become problems
- Coordinate communication between field teams, subcontractors, engineers, and project leadership
- Assist with document control: submittals, RFIs, change orders, permits, and contract documentation
- Support procurement and material tracking to keep work on pace
- Help organize and run project meetings — agendas, minutes, and follow-up on action items
- Monitor compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Adapt quickly to shifting priorities as the project evolves, jumping in wherever support is needed
- Build strong working relationships across all levels of the project team, from field to executive
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 5–10 years of experience in construction project coordination, project controls, or field engineering (power, utility, industrial, or heavy civil experience strongly preferred)
- A true go-getter personality — self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative without waiting to be asked
- Strong adaptability; someone who stays composed and effective when priorities shift or challenges pop up
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — able to build trust and rapport with everyone from tradespeople to senior leadership
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple moving pieces at once
- Working knowledge of construction scheduling, documentation, and project management tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project) - preferred, but not required.
- MS Office skills
- Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel
- Required - Willingness to be on-site regularly and engaged directly with the field team. The site will be in central Massachusetts. Candidate is expected to be on site at least 4 days per week although working remotely initially
- A track record of being someone people want on their team — dependable, positive, and easy to work with under pressure
- Experience supporting large capital projects with multiple stakeholders and tight schedules
- A genuine interest in the power/energy sector and long-term growth within it
- Comfort operating with a fair amount of autonomy while staying aligned with leadership's priorities
