Station Valet AttendantPart‑time, seasonal.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Schedules may change per Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Assist riders to check‑out a bike and find an available dock to end their trip, greeting riders and answering questions to enhance their bikeshare experience
- Dock and undock bikes; manage inventory and provide counts to operations
- Inspect station, docks, and individual bikes for safety, operability, and cleanliness; troubleshoot problems as needed
- Maintain station equipment, dock, kiosk, and bike presentation standards, keeping all areas clean, clear, and accessible to riders and employees
- Maintain knowledge of the bikeshare system and city geography to provide excellent customer service to current and potential riders
- Follow safe work practices to create and maintain a safe working environment
- Experience providing excellent customer service, communicating in a friendly and helpful manner, and remaining calm to solve problems for customers in a variety of circumstances
- Comfortable with a varying work pace; able to juggle tasks and assist riders efficiently and in a timely manner
- Enjoy working outdoors in different seasons and weather conditions
- Know or willing to learn how to use a bikeshare system and navigate around the city, including providing directions when needed
- Able to use a GPS‑enabled smartphone
- Can lift to 75 pounds and stoop, bend, walk, or stand for extended periods
