Role Description The Dental Office Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Belmont, MA. This position oversees daily front-office operations, including scheduling appointments, managing patient check-in and check-out, maintaining patient records, and coordinating insurance verification and billing activities. The Dental Office Manager supports the dental care team by managing workflow, organizing provider schedules, and ensuring compliance with practice policies and regulatory requirements.

The role includes supervising and training office staff, handling patient inquiries and concerns in a professional manner, and monitoring office supplies and equipment to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment. The Dental Office Manager also assists with basic reporting, supports practice growth initiatives, and promotes a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong Dental Practice Management and Practice Management skills, with experience overseeing day-to-day operations in a dental or medical office.
  • Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills to support patients, collaborate with clinical staff, and resolve inquiries effectively.
  • Understanding of Dental Care workflows and terminology to coordinate appointments and treatment plans accurately.
  • Proficiency with practice management software, electronic health records, and basic office technology (email, scheduling systems, spreadsheets).
  • Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and billing.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and support office staff, fostering a respectful, team-oriented work environment.
  • Knowledge of insurance processes, billing, and compliance with privacy and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) is preferred.
  • Previous experience in dental or healthcare administration required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field is a plus.
