About the Opportunity:

• This is a combined Trauma and Surgical Critical Care role within a Level I Adult & Pediatric Trauma Center
• ICU Service Model includes: 7 consecutive days on service (standard ICU block model)
• Night ICU coverage is supported by Emergency Intensive Care, so there is overnight backup
• Trauma Coverage includes:
  Weekday with 2 attendings, one covering new trauma activations and the OR, and one handling rounding and backup
• Weekends include: 1 daytime attending with a 24-hour in-house call
• Shifts are:
  Weekdays are 10-14 hours, and Weekends are 24-hour in-house call
• Call Frequency is 4?5 overnight calls per month
• Strong resident coverage (24/7)
• This is a true academic role, not a community-based trauma position
• Academic appointment commensurate with experience
• Research is required
