SUBJECT: TEACHER - INTERMEDIATE
REPORTS TO: BUILDING PRINCIPAL
As a teacher in the Worcester Public Schools you will be expected to provide rigorous instruction to a diverse population of students in your classroom. You will align your teaching to the district and state curriculum; regularly assess students for learning comprehension and modify your instruction to ensure learning; and provide a classroom that is conducive to the learning needs of all students, especially those learning English and students with disabilities.

Principal Responsibilities- Remain up to date regarding curriculum content.
- Effectively plan and assess curriculum and instruction.
- Mentor students’ understanding of the curriculum and adjust instruction, materials, or assessments when appropriate.
- Effectively manage the classroom environment.
- Ensure learning goals are clear, using appropriate instructional and questioning techniques.
- Use innovative approaches and instructional strategies, including technologies, to increase student learning and confidence.
- Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement.
- Promote equity and appreciation of diversity, ensuring equitable opportunities for students with special needs, 504 plans, and second‑language learners.
- Assure equal educational opportunity for all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, marital status, religion, gender identity, national origin, sexual orientation, homelessness, or disability.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Massachusetts DESE license Elementary 1‑6
- SEI Endorsement
- Teaching experience in the content area
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs
- Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, or an African Language
