Worcester Polytechnic Institute invites applications for the part‑time position of Adjunct Teaching Faculty. The Aerospace Engineering Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is seeking part‑time adjunct faculty to teach day and/or evening classes. Part‑time faculty positions are created to provide an available applicant pool for the department. Positions will be filled on an as‑needed basis. Start dates will vary by course and term.
Applications will remain in the pool until the posting closes.
An Adjunct Teaching Faculty will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses with various options for on‑campus and online delivery. All courses listed in the WPI undergraduate and graduate catalog under the Aerospace Engineering curriculum are of interest. Responsibilities- Teach from an established course syllabus while adding personal expertise and experience.
- Conduct office hours.
- Grade course assessments.
- Provide students with timely feedback.
- Provide materials used in course evaluations.
- Hold an advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering or closely related discipline.
- Prior experience as an instructor or a teaching assistant at the college‑level is required.
- Relevant industry experience is also valued.
Compensation: $7,000 per course
FLSA Status:
