Salary: $61,410 to $113,833 Per Year

Reports to Building Principal.

Accountability Objective: These positions are accountable for delivering a high quality instructional experience through creativity, resourcefulness, and sound judgment consistent with the curriculum frameworks, standards, and the rules and regulations of the Worcester Public Schools.

• Remaining up to date regarding curriculum content.
• Planning and assessment of curriculum and instruction.
• Mentoring students’ understanding of the curriculum effectively and adjusting instruction, materials, or assessments when appropriate.
• Effective management of classroom environment.
• Effective instruction, including making learning goals clear, using appropriate instructional and questioning techniques.
• Using innovative approaches and instructional strategies, including effective use of technologies, to increase student learning and confidence.
• Promotion of high standards and expectations for student achievement.
• Promotion of equity and appreciation of diversity to ensure equitable opportunities for student earning, including implementing specific strategies for students with special needs, 504 plans, or second language learners.
• Providing equal educational and employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, religion, gender identity, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, or homelessness.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• DESE Licensure in English 5-12.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• SEI Endorsement.

• Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs.
• Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition.
• Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, or an African language.
