Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Athletics, Bancroft School seeks a dedicated and experienced Head Varsity Golf Coach to lead its high school program in the competitive Eastern Independent League (EIL). The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who builds a strong, inclusive team culture and supports each student‑athlete’s growth academically, athletically, and personally. A key component of this role includes providing guidance and support for student‑athletes pursuing collegiate opportunities.

• Direct all phases of the golf program.
• Foster an inclusive, respectful, empowering, and competitive team environment aligned with the School’s mission and values.
• Collaborate with the athletic director to oversee the development of the entire program.

• Plan and lead effective practices focused on skill development, appropriate training, conditioning, and character-building.
• Develop student‑athletes at all levels of experience and skill.
• Prioritize athlete wellness and work collaboratively with the School’s athletic trainer, Dean of Students, and school counselors.

• Prepare the team for league competition.
• Run and supervise all home golf matches.
• Drive a school vehicle to transport students to practices and matches.
• Coordinate with athletic training staff.
• Attend all required EIL meetings, submit required score reports, rosters, forms, and other information to the appropriate EIL administrators.

Bancroft seeks dynamic candidates who are active participants in the community beyond the classroom, with an interest in supporting extracurricular activities in athletics, clubs, and other programs.

Bancroft School offers a competitive stipend range for this position of $4,000–$4,500, determined by the scope of responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational considerations. Compensation is based on education, experience, skills, expertise, and internal equity. Final stipend details will be provided upon an employment offer.
