Salary: $225 per day rate
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Long‑Term Substitute Teacher to provide consistent and effective instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The successful candidate will deliver lesson plans, manage classroom dynamics, and ensure a positive learning environment that aligns with the school’s educational objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a respectful, inclusive atmosphere.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback as necessary.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to support student learning and well‑being.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding educational matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid Massachusetts teaching license in the appropriate subject area.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Background check and fingerprinting as required by Massachusetts regulations.
- Completion of required training or certifications upon hire, including first aid, CPR, and behavior management training.
Temporary Full‑Time position in accordance with the established Substitute Teacher Scale. This position is not eligible for any benefits.
