Location: Johnson Elementary School, Nahant, MA
Schedule: Part-Time, Monday–Thursday | 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Position SummaryJohnson Elementary School in Nahant is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to support students in our Extended School Year (ESY) Summer Program
. The Special Education Teacher will provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring continuity of learning and skill development.
- Provide specialized instruction to students based on IEP goals and objectives
- Plan and deliver targeted lessons in academic, social-emotional, and functional skill areas
- Implement accommodations and modifications to support student access
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with related service providers (e.g., OT, SLP) and support staff
- Create a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment
- Participate in team meetings as needed
- Current Massachusetts licensure in Special
Education:
Moderate PreK-8 - Experience working with elementary students with diverse learning needs preferred
- Wilson OG trained and certified (preferred)
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
