Learning Design Specialist

The Learning Design Specialist plays a critical role within our Learning Ecosystem, partnering closely with Operations, field teams, field trainers, and the L&D team. This role reports to the Manager of Learning Implementation. In this position you design and develop training materials to meet our business needs, including e-learning, videos, animations, infographics, and slide decks.

• Creates, revises, and maintains e-learning using a variety of software tools.
• Works with project teams to design and develop SCORM-compliant eLearning.
• Develop storyboards and scripts for e-learning and video.
• Integrates emerging instructional methods and technologies into e-learning.
• Develop instructor guides, student guides, and presentations.
• Apply creative design to the discipline of instructional design with an emphasis on multimedia.
• Develop instructional programs that leverage new technologies and multimedia.
• Apply interactive design and learning principles to instructional solutions.
• Evaluates learning effectiveness using data, feedback, and performance metrics.
• Manages content lifecycle, including updates, version control, and audits.
• Support any other L&D initiatives as they arise.

College degree (preferred).

1‑3 years of developing training content/experiences.

Ability to travel >20% of the time.

Proficient in e-learning and design software, with ability to learn others as applicable.

Experience using industry‑standard assessment tools (strongly preferred).

Demonstrated ability to design and develop learning content tailored to specific roles and audiences with exceptional attention to detail.

Proficiency with the ADDIE model from analysis through evaluation.

Ability to synthesize complex information and stakeholder feedback into clear, accessible learning materials.

Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence across functions and all organizational levels.

Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate ideas into actionable solutions.

Exercises sound judgment and comfortably challenges assumptions to drive improvement.

Skilled in root‑cause analysis, solution development, and data‑informed decision‑making.

Excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Proficient with various technology systems and able to learn new tools quickly.

Demonstrates openness to feedback and a commitment to continuous personal and professional growth.
