As a teacher in the Worcester Public Schools you will be expected to provide rigorous instruction to the diverse population of students in your classroom. You will be expected to align your teaching to the district and state curriculum; to regularly assess students for learning comprehension and to modify your teaching to ensure that students are learning; to provide a classroom that is conducive to the learning needs of all students, especially students who are learning English and students with disabilities.

Principal Responsibilities- Remain up to date regarding curriculum content.
- Effectively plan and assess curriculum and instruction.
- Mentor students’ understanding of the curriculum and adjust instruction, materials, or assessments when appropriate.
- Effectively manage classroom environment.
- Provide effective instruction, making learning goals clear and using appropriate instructional and questioning techniques.
- Use innovative approaches, instructional strategies, and technology to increase student learning and confidence.
- Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement.
- Promote equity and appreciation of diversity, including implementing strategies for students with special needs, 504 plans, and second language learners.
- Assure equal educational opportunity to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, marital status, religion, gender identity, national origin, sexual orientation, homelessness, or disability.

- Bachelor's Degree
- Massachusetts DESE license Elementary 1-6
- SEI Endorsement
- Teaching experience in the content area
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs
- Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, or an African Language
Work Year: 185 days
Salary: $61,410 to $91,420 Per Year (based on candidate holding a Bachelor's Degree; potential to increase based on degree level)
