Youth Services Branch Library Assistant
The Youth Services Branch Library Assistant is a paraprofessional position that reports to the Branch Manager for Youth Services and the Branch Supervisor. This role assists with daily operations of branch libraries located in Worcester elementary schools, coordinates and performs all circulation activities, serves as liaison with the Main Library Circulation Department, organizes holds, assists with readers advisory and reference services, and provides exemplary customer service to patrons.
The work includes evening and weekend assignments and may require working at other locations, including Mobile Services. The Assistant must be able to reach all four One City One Library branches promptly.

Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of community public service work (e.g., library, day care center, recreation program, or classroom).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to successfully pass CORI/SORI.
- Reliable transportation to travel between required One City One Library locations in a timely manner.
- Valid driver’s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- One (1) year of supervisory experience.
- One (1) year of customer service.
- One (1) year of professional experience working with youth.
Full Time
Salary Range$22.26–$26.81 per hour
