These positions are accountable for delivering high-quality instructional experience through creativity, resourcefulness and sound judgment consistent with the curriculum frameworks, standards and the rules and regulations of Worcester Public Schools.

• Keep curriculum content up to date.
• Effectively plan and assess curriculum and instruction.
• Mentor students’ understanding of the curriculum and adjust instruction, materials, or assessments when appropriate.
• Manage classroom environment effectively.
• Teach effectively, making learning goals clear and using appropriate instructional and questioning techniques.
• Use innovative approaches and instructional strategies, including technology, to increase student learning and confidence.
• Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement.
• Promote equity and appreciation of diversity, ensuring equitable opportunities for students, including those with special needs, 504 plans and second language learners.
• Ensure equal educational opportunity for all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, religion, national origin, gender identity, marital status, sexual orientation, disability or homelessness.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• DESE Licensure in World Language (Spanish), grades 5-12
• Bachelor’s Degree
• SEI Endorsement

• Experience supporting students with special needs
• Experience with second language acquisition
• Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese or an African language
