Job Description:
General Statement
Instructors will teach course(s) within a specific discipline to a diverse student population at our Downtown Worcester campus nursing simulation/skills labs and clinical sites in our service area. Responsibilities will include instructional preparation, assessment of student performance and assistance to students.
Hours of teaching: M-Th 5:30pm-8:30pm
F 10am-4pm
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
* Graduate in Medical Assisting from a CAAHEP/ABHES accredited medical assisting program.
* Current certification required (CMA or RMA) or relevant work experience
* Have a minimum total of three years of experience working full-time in an ambulatory clinic.
* Individual must also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to build successful relationships with students and faculty.
* Improving student outcomes by utilizing a variety of instructional delivery methods, including technology and other innovative approaches.
* Other duties are assigned.
* Knowledge and ability to teach both the administrative and clinical skills to students.
Preferred Qualifications
* Associate Degree. Applicant must be a graduate of an education program in Medical Assisting from an accredited institution.
* Teaching/training experience. Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity in the curriculum as appropriate. This should be documented via transcripts for official courses or by providing training completion certificates and program outline demonstrating material covered in the training meets educational methodology.
* Knowledge of MAERB Core Curriculum and reporting requirements for Medical Assisting programs.
