Teacher:
Allied Health/Nursing - Chapter 74 Vocational Education Program.

Responsible for teaching students the Health Assisting/Nursing Chapter 74 Career Vocational Technical Education (CVTE) state frameworks and curriculum disciplines under the direction of the Allied Health/Nursing Department Head.

• Development and implementation of departmental curriculum objectives and competencies.
• Integration of the department’s curriculum where appropriate.

• Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.

• Massachusetts DESE teacher’s Licensure (Chapter 74) in Nurse Assisting 9-14 or the ability to be licensed within one year.
• Evidence of mastery of a wide variety of teacher competencies and understanding of instructional techniques.
• Registered nurse (RN) currently licensed.
• Strong background in long-term care, emergency room or hospital care.
• Working knowledge of computer applications.
• Evidence of supervisory experience in Health Care Industry operations.
• Three (3) years of full-time employment related to health assisting.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• SEI Endorsement.

• Nursing experience including at least one year of Long Term Care experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs.
• Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, or an African Language.
• Experience teaching students who are English language learners.
• Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition.
• Licensed in another state and qualified for temporary DESE license.
