Adjunct Faculty of English

The Department of English at Assumption University seeks to hire adjunct instructors for the Fall 2026 semester to teach sections of ENG 130:
Writing in the University and ENG 140:
Literature and Its Interpretations, required first-year courses. The courses are in‑person, and all faculty are required to keep office hours: two hours per class section. Adjuncts are welcomed as important contributors to the department and to our students. They are provided with office space, email, voicemail, and resources needed for quality teaching. Successful candidates may have the possibility of teaching additional courses in subsequent semesters, including upper‑level writing and literature courses.

Please submit a letter of interest, current curriculum vitae, and the names and contact information for two references who can attest to the applicant's teaching experience and qualifications. In the cover letter, we invite candidates to describe their teaching experiences. Finalists will also be asked to provide official transcripts of academic work. Materials must be submitted online as MS Word documents or PDF files.
