Responsibilities

Child Development & Care

* Provide attentive, nurturing care for infants, toddlers, and/or preschoolers.

* Implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum using Creative Curriculum.

* Foster a warm, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued.

* Observe and assess children's development to support their learning journey.

Family Support & Engagement

* Partner with families to support children's development and learning.

* Share insights and guidance to help parents strengthen caregiving skills.

* Communicate regularly with parents in a supportive and professional manner.

Team Collaboration

* Assist in supervising assistant teachers, volunteers, and student interns.

* Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, team-oriented environment.

* Attend staff meetings and complete required trainings.

Program Support

* Assist the Director with daily center operations, including classroom setup, materials, and organization.

* Maintain a clean, safe, and well-equipped learning environment.

* Follow all Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and Children's Friend policies and procedures.

* Continue working toward a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (if not already obtained).

Qualifications

* EEC Teacher Certification (Infant/Toddler and/or Preschool) required.
