Job Description: Soliant is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for a contract position in Melrose, MA. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring their success in an inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other support staff to deliver effective instruction.
  • Adapt and modify curriculum and materials to meet the unique learning needs of students.
  • Provide direct instruction, interventions, and support services to students with disabilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and IEP goals.
  • municate regularly with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders about student progress and needs.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other required meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid MA Special Education Teaching License.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices.
  • Excellent munication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
