Teacher – Intermediate Grade 6 Dual Language (Bilingual Preferred)

Worcester Public Schools is seeking a dedicated teacher for Grade 6 to deliver rigorous, bilingual instruction to a diverse student body. The successful candidate will align instruction with district and state curriculum, regularly assess learning, and adapt teaching strategies to promote academic success for all students, including English language learners and students with disabilities. The position begins on August 27, 2026 and is a full‑time role with a competitive salary and participation in federal loan forgiveness programs.

• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of curriculum content.
• Plan and assess instruction effectively.
• Mentor students’ understanding of the curriculum and adjust instruction, materials, or assessments as needed.
• Manage the classroom environment effectively.
• Provide clear learning goals and use appropriate instructional and questioning techniques.
• Employ innovative approaches and technology to enhance student learning and confidence.
• Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement.
• Advocate for equity and appreciation of diversity, implementing strategies for students with special needs, 504 plans, and second language learners.
• Ensure equal educational opportunity for all students regardless of race, color, gender, disability, or other protected status.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

• Massachusetts DESE license in English as a Second Language (ESL) Elementary 1‑6 and Spanish.
• SEI Endorsement.
• Bachelor’s degree.

• Experience teaching the relevant content area.
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs.
• Proficiency in Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, or an African language.
• Experience teaching English language learners.
• Experience with second language acquisition.
• Eligibility for temporary license from DESE for out‑of‑state licensed teachers.

$61,410 to $91,240 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
