Reports To: Building Principal

Provide rigorous instruction to a diverse student population, aligning teaching to district and state curriculum, assessing student learning, and adjusting instruction to meet all learners’ needs, including English language learners and students with disabilities.

Capitalize on the diversity of the district to create rich learning environments, requiring patience, perseverance, creativity, excellent content knowledge, and a desire to prepare students for successful lives.

• Remain up to date on curriculum content.
• Plan and assess curriculum and instruction effectively.
• Mentor students’ understanding and adjust instruction, materials, or assessments when appropriate.
• Manage classroom environment effectively.
• Deliver effective instruction, using clear learning goals and appropriate questioning techniques.
• Employ innovative instructional strategies and technology to improve student learning and confidence.
• Promote high academic standards and expectations.
• Advocate equity and diversity, implementing strategies for students with special needs, 504 plans, and second‑language learners.
• Ensure equal educational opportunities for all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, marital status, religion, gender identity, national origin, sexual orientation, homelessness, or disability.

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Massachusetts DESE license:
  Elementary 1‑6
• SEI Endorsement

• Teaching experience in the content area.
• Experience supporting students with special needs.
• Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, or an African language.
