Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions
The Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions is responsible for implementing undergraduate recruitment strategies, managing assigned recruitment territories, evaluating applications for admission, and counseling prospective students and families throughout the admissions process. The position represents Clark University both on and off campus and contributes to achieving institutional enrollment goals through recruitment, outreach, application review, and student engagement activities.
The Assistant Director serves as a key member of the admissions team and collaborates with faculty, staff, students, alumni, counselors, and community partners to support enrollment objectives and provide an exceptional prospective student experience.

Travel and Recruitment: 6-8 weeks of recruitment in the Fall with some sporadic Spring Travel. Research trends in assigned geographic territory and plan all logistics associated with recruitment travel within assigned territory and other regions as needed. Travel to college fairs, high school visits, alumni events and other off campus recruitment activities as needed. Communicate with prospective students and families, school counselors in assigned geographic regions.
Conduct student interviews with prospective students while traveling.
First-Year Fall Application Review:
Review and evaluate undergraduate applications in accordance with University admissions policies and procedures. Assess academic and non-academic credentials and provide recommendations regarding admissions decisions. Participate in committee discussions and support enrollment management objectives through thoughtful applicant evaluation.
Campus Visitor Experience & Counselor of the Day Responsibilities:
Serve as a resource for prospective students and families visiting campus. Conduct information sessions, admissions interviews, campus visit programming, and counselor-of-the-day responsibilities, including responding to inquiries and providing admissions guidance.
Admissions Events & Outreach Programs:
Participate in open houses, admitted student programs, webinars, virtual events, and other enrollment-related initiatives. Assist with planning, coordination, event execution, and follow-up communications.
